<p>Two of the best sommeliers in the world, <a href="http://www.delmonego.de/pressetexte_e.html">Markus del Monego</a> (1998) and <a href="http://www.andreaslarsson.org/">Andreas Larsson</a> (2007), tried our Briccolina in Essen, at the CaveCo centre, which hosted a professional tasting where all of the variable conditions (temperature, humidity, pressure, light, noise) were controlled. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Thanks to a tour organised for participants to learn about and appreciate native Piedmont grape varieties, Nascetta is being talked about even in Austria: Daniela Dejnega from the magazine WeinPur had this to say about the variety and about our Langhe Nascetta 2011:</p>
<p><strong><em>White and fragrant: Nascetta </em></strong><a href="http://www.rivetto.it/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/weinpur02_13_piemontDDejnega-1.pdf"><strong><em>(see the article, in German, here)</em></strong></a></p>
<p><em>Among the white wines one should note the semi-aromatic Nascetta. As early as 1879 this variety was described as extremely interesting and comparable to Riesling. Abandoned by producers in favour of more profitable varieties, it is now slowly coming back to the fore. Enrico Rivetto from Serralunga d’Alba was a weakness for Nascetta, which he cultivates at an altitude of  400 metres, with northern exposure. The producer considers the variety a niche product and of major potential. </em></p>

<p>We presented our <a href="http://www.rivetto.it/vini/3720-langhe-doc-nascetta/">Langhe Nascetta Doc 2011</a> and joining us were <a href="http://www.elviocogno.com/it/vini_piemonte_cantina_cogno/langhe_bianco_anas_cetta">Elvio Cogno</a> and <a href="http://www.vibertiosvaldo.it/index.html">Osvaldo Viberti</a>; together we organised an evening at Vincafè in Alba and personally presented the results of our vinification of Nascetta grapes to wine connoisseurs. <p>There are those who say that its bouquet recalls the fragrances of the Sardinian Vermentino and those who say that it seems to be the heir of the great Rhenish Rieslings; in any case, the words of Rovasenda, perhaps the greatest ampelographer in history, remain apt, who described it thus in his <em>Saggio di un’ampelografia universale</em>: “an extremely delicate grape and exquisite wine”.</p>
<p>The event took place at Vincafè in Alba, in Via Maestra, and was dedicated to discovering the secrets of the only native Langa grape, Nascetta.</p>
