From a highly inspired correspondent: chocolate at the court of Barolo Chinato 2012

A twinkle of garnet red and glints of orange, the fragrance of good Rivetto Barolo, with a light spicy note that pleasingly excites the imagination… the mouth filled with an instant sweetness, almost immediately accompanied by a slight bitterness lent by cinchona, which promptly balances the whole… and then the soft tannins, caressing the tongue… velvet…

The game of flavours is completed by the silken taste of dark, shining, plain chocolate that breaks with a light sonority, with an intense and lasting aroma, melting slowly in the mouth, treating the palate to a pleasing persistency.

If you are wondering where this lyricism is coming from, dictated by gourmand inspiration, I will explain immediately: Susanna Carbone participated in the event “Chocolate at the court of Barolo Chinato” for Rivetto. Here, the Rivetto Barolo Chinato was the star of the weekend of 3 and 4 March 2012,  in the Tempio dell’Enoturista, at the Castello di Barolo… what better place for a King than a castle? The co-star of this fairy tale, chocolate, in all of its multiple variants… The perfect mate… A true temptation for connoisseurs of taste, like the undersigned!

Aren’t you inspired?
